Ibadat-A-Aman ( A Peace Bride of Music)

IBADAT-E-AMAN, a peace bridge of music initiative has been organized at the Stein Auditorium, Indian Habitat Center, New Delhi in 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014 by Ehsaas Foundation and St. Stephen Society, Agra jointly. The internationally renowned Sufi classical singer from the sub –continent, Ustad Shafquat Ali Khan, of the 500 year old Sham Chaurasi Gharana of East Punjab, will render sufi nazams and ghazals while a noted poet from India had recited soulful poetry. The purpose of this programme was to convey the message of peace and cultural unity of the sub-continent. It shall also become a source of realization the inner peace with music. This unique project helped in enhancing goodwill between two nationals and one people in the sub-continent.

The programme was supported by India Habitat Center and Indian Council for Cultural Relation.


REMEMBERANCE-2014

Location: Delhi


Ehsaas Foundation has started conducting series of workshops and seminar on the life, vision, mission, philosophy of reputed personality of India who has left indelible imprints in building modern India. In this series, Ehsaas foundation has planned to organize a one day Seminar on 3rd December 2014 on the occasion of 130th birth anniversary of Dr. Rajendra Prasad, one of the chief architect of Modern India.


DANCE OF THE DESERT

Location: India Habitat Centre, Delhi


A fund raising event ‘Dance of the Desert” was organized in 2014 at Indian Habitat Centre. Dance of the Desert has Sarangi played by Mastro Kamal Sabari then a Dholak , Tabla, Darbouka, Key boards Khartaal and Rajasthani Kalbelia Dancer and a Belly Dancer from Lebanon.
The music of DOD is based on the folk songs of Indian and Middle Eastern Deserts.

The second half will start with Shayari by Sandeep Silas ‘deep’ to the accompaniment of Sarangi played by Kamal Sabri. The journey through the Deserts of India to the Desert of Egypt will be continue with a dance duet of the different traditions- Belly Dance and the Kalbelia Dance. The grand finale of the programme was had a combination of all musical instruments and dances and in the end they all come together on the stage for the final presentation.
