EDUCATION, SKILL DEVELOPMENT AND LIVELIOOD TRAINING PROGRAMME

Since inception in 2003, the foundation’s core activity is to improving lives and providing opportunities to children through formal and alternative education systems. The Foundation works closely with government-run schools and the different levels within the Government. Latter we involved in promoting skill development programs among the economically backward, slum dwellers, artisans and Rural Youth. Time to time different skill development and livelihood training programmes have been implemented in different States by the Foundation.

Chalta Phirta Mobile STD PCO

Location: Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Meghalaya, Maharashtra

This is one of the innovative projects which the organization has implemented time to time in different states of India. Since our first project in Patiala in 2004 when WLL Mobile concept was new, we set up a STD –PCO in 5 Try-Cycles of Divyang Persons. Latter on demand, this program was implemented in 4 other districts of Punjab. Apart from Punjab, this program was implemented in Haryana, Maharashtra, Meghalaya and Himachal Pradesh. This program led to employment generation for 105 persons. Latter we added mobile repairing platform in their Tri-Cycle. It solved the problem of allotting permanent shop by the Government to disable persons.


Integrated Handloom Cluster Development Scheme (IHCDS)

Location:Hathras, Barabanki, Mirzapur

Integrated Handloom Cluster Development Scheme (IHCDS) is jointly sponsored by the Office of the Development Commissioner of Handloom of Ministry of Textile, Government of India and the Directorate of Handloom and Textile, Government of Uttar Pradesh. The Foundation has implemented the proramme in following districts:

  1. Hathras: 307 Weavers
  2. Shahabpur, Barabanki: 303 Weavers
  3. Rampur-Balrampur, Barabanki-310 Weavers
  4. Chunar, Mirzapur-311 Weavers
Some of the activities which has been carried out in all these clusters can be summarized are as follows:
  1. Survey and identification of weavers
  2. SHGs Formation
  3. Training programme for dyeing and designing
  4. Exposure Trips
  5. Buyer-Seller meets
  6. Organizing Exhibitions cum sale
  7. Distributed looms with accessories and work shed
The efforts of Ehsaas Foundation started showing the growth in their annual income. This programme resulted 20% more engagement in their work, consequently increase in their annual income.


Construction of Common Facility Center (CFC)

Location: Barabanki

A CFC was constructed at Shahabpur village in Barabanki district as part of cluster development sanctioned by Directorate of Handloom and Textile, U.P and Ministry of Textile, Government of India. All weavers of this cluster use this for DYEING, DRYING & DISPLAYING etc.


Facilitation Centre for CCC and BCC Certification under NIELIT (DOEACC)

Location: Delhi, Mirzapur

The Foundation is affiliated with NIELIT to run CCC and BCC to make India a "Digital India".


Bhatha Pathshala, Construction Site School and School at Crusher Zone

Location: Faridabad, Haryana

This project involved running 6 month Bridge Course for 89 Bhatta Pathshalas (brick kilns), 2 schools of construction sites and 7 centers in Crusher Zone Schools under Sarva Shikha Abhiyan. This programme had been sponsored by Haryana Prathmik Shiksha Pariyojna Parisad, Government of Haryana. This programme involves Teaching and mainstreaming of 2538 out of school children (6-14 years)of migrant workers of Brick kilns, Construction sites and crusher sites. The programme involves the management of these schools spread over every corner (range 50-60 km) of Faridabad.

There were four major activities of this project:

  1. To make a profile of each individual child by survey in Brick kilns, Work sites and Crusher Zone.
  2. To provide informal education through innovative method.
  3. To provide Mid Day Meal
  4. To main stream them in regular courses
This programme had been monitor by three layers of administration of Haryana Prathmik Shiksha Pariyojna Parisad.


Child Labour School

Location: Kadipur, Sultanpur, Uttar Pradesh

This project is sponsored by National Child Labour Project (NCLP) Government of India with the help of district administration, Sultanpur. This project was for 3 years. This project was for the out of school children (6-14 Years) of Biri Workers, Garbage collector. The project has been allotted to organization for the session 2007-2009. The satisfactory performance of our organization has make the district administration to allot same school for the session 2010-2013.The objective of this programme is to survey out the number of out of school children, educate them and main stream them in the regular schools.

There are following activities which are the part of this scheme:

Ajit Kumar Singh Industrial Training Institute

Location: Mirzapur, Uttar Pradesh

2011-2012 was the mile stone in the history of Ehsaas Foundation, because decision of setting up an industrial training Institute in Rural Mirzapur was taken. This year our institute got donation of land for this purpose. We had applied to National Council for vocational Training (NCVT) for running electrical and fitter trade in this institute. Since 2011, the college is running successfully and more than 400 students have been passed out and placed more than 70% students in different companies.


Livelihood Generation: Mobile AD Tricyle

Location:Sultanpur (U.P), Indore (M.P)

The project is Innovative solution for employment creation for disable people. AD Tricycle is an innovative outdoor publicity media, can reaches the market and gets noticed by the target audience directly. This AD Tricycle follows the sentiments of the "Go Green”. The AD tricycle is helping disable to earn their livelihood in a respectable way. The programme is in the process of duplication.


Entrepreneurship Awareness Camp

Location: Mirzapur (Uttar Pradesh)

A three days workshop on Entrepreneurship was organized at AKSITI, Mirzapur in 2015 with financial support from Entreneurship Development of India, Ahmadabad under Ministry of Science and Technology. 75 Students of ITI had participated in this camp.


AIE and Vocational Training Center

Location: Faridabad, Haryana

The organization has run 25 (15 AIE and 10 Vocational Training Center) education centers under Sarva Shikha Abhiyan. This project involved the teaching, mainstreaming of out of school children (6-14 Years of age) in Faridabad, Haryana and the organization targeted 1500 out of school children.

This project involved:

  1. Informal education through innovative method.
  2. To provide vocational training to out of school girls
The special prepare bridge course were prepared to teach children in Maths, English, Hindi and General science. The elders girl students were trained in pickle making, embroidery, stitching and beauty parlour. 990 students had been mainstreamed in regular schools in 2 years.
